Baladarshan Fair Trade

Baladarshan Fair Trade promotes and distributes quality handicrafts produced by impoverished women and children in Southern India.

As women are stranded by their husbands and find themselves in the slums of South India, they must search for their own means of raising an income to support their families.  Baladarshan, concerned with improving the lives of these women, provides them with the skill training to create beautiful handicrafts from which they can profit, empowering them to care for their children.  Baladarshan also actively champions the establishment of fair working conditions and the reduction of child labour for this disadvantaged segment of society.  Each purchase furthers their efforts to alleviate the challenges of these women, both individually and socially.
